The Sheffield Tooling Company was formed in January 2017 following the acquisition of the long-established Riley’s Machinery and Tooling. Keith Riley started the business in 1983 and primarily bought and sold quality “British” made new and used machine tooling and industrial equipment. A majority of this stock was made in Sheffield and represents a time when the city was the world leader in specialist steel production and tool manufacturing.
The three Sheffield Tooling Company Directors represent a wide range of skills with over one hundred years of combined experience in many industrial sectors. John Waddington and Marie Cooper recently ran the former President Engineering Group (now Parker) and John Zubak has worked for major Global players including Cummins, Rockwell, Schneider and Siemens. With our joint management capability and experience we aim to modernise the business whilst maintaining the traditional local service to industry in and around Sheffield.
We intend to further extend our niche in this market with the sale of quality Sheffield & UK made tooling with additional services involving the remanufacturing, renovation and upgrading of our existing stock of quality tooling. These are intended for use in the traditional machine shops but also to extend application for use in some of today’s more modern engineering & manufacturing facilities.
